Client: Built Location: Sydney NSW Market: Commercial Capabilities: Design, supply, and install a Combined Fire Sprinkler / Hydrant System integrated with adaptive reuse structures
Scope of Work: Force Fire was engaged to deliver fire protection systems for the transformation of 270 Pitt Street—a former defence building—into a contemporary, flexible, and highly sustainable workplace. Designed by Cox Architecture and delivered in partnership with Built Construction, the project focused on extending the life of the existing structure while highlighting its inherent character.
The revitalised building features a dramatic six-metre-high lobby opening onto Pitt Street, flexible workspaces for collaboration and focused work, and a fully electric, net-zero design targeting 5 Star Green Star, 5.5 Star NABERS Energy, and 4.0 Star NABERS Water.
Force Fire’s role involved integrating modern fire systems seamlessly within the adaptive-reuse design, addressing the challenges of working within an ageing structure while ensuring compliance with current fire performance, safety, and sustainability standards.
This project demonstrates Force Fire’s ability to deliver innovative, high-performance fire protection solutions in complex, environmentally conscious redevelopment projects, balancing safety, functionality, and sustainability.
