Client: Queensland Parliament Location: Brisbane City, QLD Market: Infrastructure – Service Capabilities: Design, supply, installation, and ongoing maintenance of fire protection systems
Scope of Work:
Fire protection services have been delivered at Queensland Parliament for over three years. Our engagement began with the annex refurbishment works, which enabled us to gain valuable understanding of the site’s heritage sensitivities, high-level security protocols, and operational considerations around parliamentary sitting dates.
As part of the refurbishment scope, we designed, supplied, and installed fire sprinkler systems, detection systems, and Emergency Warning and Intercommunication Systems (EWIS). Operating within a heritage-listed facility required precise planning, close collaboration with site management, and a flexible approach to delivery.
Our ongoing maintenance services cover the full range of fire protection infrastructure, including detection and EWIS systems, sprinkler and watermist systems in sensitive areas, fire pumpsets, hydrants, hose reels, extinguishers, fire blankets, and kitchen suppression systems. We also manage water storage tanks and specialised systems such as gaseous suppression and VESDA detection. The result is a compliant, integrated fire protection solution that safeguards the wellbeing of parliamentarians, staff, students, and the public—while protecting the building’s heritage structure and irreplaceable archival materials.
