A taller tower means greater need for fire protection
In February 2019, Force Fire worked with Taylor to implement fire warning and detection systems to the striking new 39-level Boomerang Tower in Sydney’s Olympic Park.
Our goals and challenges
Due to the large-scale nature of Boomerang Tower, we were required to install an Emergency Warning and Intercommunication System in the building. This system would mean that, in an emergency, warnings could be sent to specific zones of the building to evacuate.
We also supplied and installed AS 1670.1 and AS 1670.4 detection systems.
And with 230 apartments, it was no mean feat.
Even after the further challenge of a staged handover, we were able to complete the project successfully.
The Taylor site engineers gave incredibly positive feedback, commending our hard work and effort.
