Boomerang

Quick overview

In February 2019, Force Fire worked with Taylor to install a combined sprinkler and hydrant system, as well as a detection and EWIS system to the striking new 39-level Boomerang Tower in Sydney’s Olympic Park.

Our goals and challenges

Due to the large-scale nature of Boomerang Tower, we were faced with many challenges, including material handling and coordinating labour across several floors.

But by communicating daily with our client – and forecasting material each week – we were able to install an Emergency Warning and Intercommunication System in the building. This system would mean that, in an emergency, warnings could be sent to specific zones of the building to evacuate.

And with 230 apartments, it was no mean feat.

Key outcomes

Even after the further challenge of a staged handover, we were able to complete the project successfully.

The Taylor site engineers gave incredibly positive feedback, commending our hard work and effort.
